The struggle is real

Independent filmmaking is a struggle you’re always raising money creatively. This year I wanted to have a 5k walk which I still am planning for in late August I think it will be more impactful during the summer or even September.

I‘ve talking to other independent filmmakers who share the same sentiment “where do I find the money?” I have been rethinking my documentary advertising strategy as my proposals to ITVS have not turned a single dollar. I’m frustrated applying and getting denied my topic is extremely important but somehow I seem to get blown off by folks who could help but won’t. This weekend I’m having a Film fundraiser in a Harlem I’ve been burnt out with making t-shirts trying to sell them @ events. My original idea of doing the New Public library circuit is still conceivable and might bring awareness to places that need to be aware.

Not loosing faith just trying to catch a wind so I can continue to search for funding so I can complete the film. I have three major shoots and raising the transportation money and paying personnel to get the shot right. I will continue to keep the faith!

I cant loose it now there are survivors that need to heal and they need this film to be inspired!

Tenacidad!
